Tiverton Fabrications joins Haworth Castings (sand and gravity die casting), Investacast (investment casting) and Metaltech Precision (CNC machining) as part of Expromet Technologies Group. Fabrication is the next process for many components cast and machined elsewhere in the Group, and bringing that capability in-house removes a significant handoff from the supply chain.
For engineering and procurement teams, the practical benefit is straightforward. A fabricated assembly may originate as a casting or a machined component, and may require surface finishing or inspection before it reaches the customer. Or, the fabrication may be part of a broader requirement for metal manufacturing. Where those stages or manufacturing processes are managed by separate suppliers, every transition adds lead time, communication risk and potential quality variation.
